Good idea but lacking sharpness in the final product

A couple break-up but stay together in their flat while they run out the lease. While this is ongoing they discover that a large ghost is also present.

There is a nice idea in here, which is that a couple living through the end of their relationship have this thing hanging over them that they don't deal with but is always there. Of course this is a ghost but it is also their relationship, and within this idea the film stays with that to try to get the emotional value from the concept. It only sort of achieves what it wants to do though and it feels like there was still scope to refine the end product, a little bit like this is a first run before it gets another rework. The material is interesting but not sharp enough when it comes to the heart, nor funny enough as a comedy. These are the two aspects that limit it, but it also needed to be tighter and shorter in the delivery, as well as needed a bit more polish in the camera work and general technical look of the film.

A solid idea and shot at making it happen, but it doesn't quite live up to what it was aiming for.
