New Delhi, July 20 (Ians) Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to generate a multitude of positive outcomes, but like any other emerging and disruptive technology, it possesses a few risks, which need to be effectively managed through the implementation of appropriate risk management strategies and frameworks, experts said here on Thursday.
As AI takes centre-stage, fostering collaboration among industry, academia and the government can act as a catalyst to unlock the full potential of AI and drive digital transformation across various other sectors, besides telecom, to help India become a $5 trillion economy, experts said at the first-ever AI summit here.
AI can play a crucial role in advancing healthcare, smart cities, infrastructure, financial inclusivity, transportation, climate, gender equality and other key priority areas, said Aruna Sundararajan, Chairperson, Broadband India Forum (Bif), and former telecom secretary.

Update, September 22: Martin Scorsese, a frequent collaborator of Chapman’s, has issued the following statement following the cinematographer’s passing: “I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to work with Michael Chapman. Michael and I made three films together—’Taxi Driver,’ ‘The Last Waltz,’ and ‘Raging Bull,’ and he brought something rare and irreplaceable to each of them.”
Scorsese continues, “I remember when ‘Taxi Driver’ came out and Michael became known as a ‘poet of the streets’—I think that was the wording, and it seemed right to me. Michael was the one who really controlled the visual palette of ‘The Last Waltz,’ and on ‘Raging Bull’ he and his team met every single challenge—and there were so many. One of the greatest of those challenges was shooting in black and white, which Michael had never done before, a fact that still astonishes me. His relationship...

Stars: Dolph Lundgren, Natalie Burn, Sean Patrick Flanery, Chuck Liddell, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Danny Trejo, Al Sapienza, Olya Banar, Riccardo Berdini, Ryan Carnes, Neb Chupin, Joe Corzo | Written by Michael Merino | Directed by Michael Merino, Daniel Zirilli
I’ve been a big fan of actress Natalie Burn since her role in 2016’s Left to Die (aka Awaken). That film, which she also co-wrote, saw her take the lead role in a Most Dangerous Game-esque movie but be sidelined by the marketing materials who focused on the appearance of Vinnie Jones in the cast. And Acceleration does something very similar.
To the uninitiated Acceleration looks like yet another Dtv star-vehicle for Dolph Lundgren; hell, even the cast listing atop the DVD cover puts Sean Patrick Flanery, Lundgren and Chuck Liddell ahead of Burns. But this Is Burns’ film, she and her character are the driving force behind the action. It...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and processed sugar is the reason why you’re fat, not fat/calories/carbohydrates. If you’re not fat, then don’t get addicted to sugar. Also, moose piss tastes good…real good. Killer Kross is here to fight Tom Lawlor, because he’s staying in Mlw, forever/no he’s not…going to WWE.
Match #1: Myron Reed defeated Laredo Kid – Mlw World Middleweight Championship The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Earlier today, Konnan was singing the praises of his latest prodigy Laredo Kid, but was interuppted by Injustice who k=contiues to toss shade at the legend. Konnan wasn’t having it, and challenged Myron to go defend his title with “Dumb & Dumber” in his corner. Myron decided not to take his advice and took Oliver and Brazil to the ring with him.

From Batman to Vin Diesel, the muscle car is the go-to ride for macho stars. Couldn’t they drive something greener?
Like hemlines or facial hair, the Batmobile has always been a barometer of fashion – from Adam West’s extravagantly finned 60s version to Tim Burton’s 80s stretch limo to Christopher Nolan’s urban battle machine. Judging by early images, Robert Pattinson’s ride in the forthcoming reboot resembles none of these so much as a 1970s muscle car. This is bang on trend, because if you want to be taken seriously in the movies these days, a muscle car is what you need to be driving.
The definition is vague but the term broadly applies to a handful of souped-up Us models of the late 60s and early 70s, whose mean lines and outsized horsepower made them the coolest cars on screen. None of your fancy European sports cars,...

In the new superhero action film, Bloodshot, Vin Diesel plays Ray Garrison, a soldier who watches his wife die at the hands of brutal terrorists before he himself is killed—or so he thinks. But Ray is resurrected as a super-soldier thanks to “nanites,” microscopic intelligent machines that have replaced his bloodstream and altered his memories. This process is thanks to Dr. Emil Harting (Guy Pearce) and his Rising Spirit Technologies.
Part of Harting’s team at Rst are his previous experiments—an enhanced combat unit consisting of Jimmy Dalton (Outlander’s Sam Heughan), KT (Eiza Gonzalez of Baby Driver) and Tibbs (Alex Hernandez). When Ray breaks away from the control of Harting and Rst, with the others in pursuit, he enlists the help of Wilfred Wigans (Lamorne Morris), a socially awkward but brilliant hacker who helps Ray in his quest to learn the truth about his past and take control of his life.

Though the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy has come to a close, Adam Driver was able to reprise his role as Kylo Ren one last time for this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live.
Back in January of 2016, when Disney had only just released its first contribution to the decades-spanning Skywalker Saga, Driver featured in an SNL sketch which saw Ben Solo posing as a low-level employee of the First Order in a Star Wars-themed send-up of Undercover Boss.
Now, just over four years later, Driver and SNL have brought us a follow-up sketch in which Kylo once more goes undercover to see how much has changed. This time, the villain poses as an intern, meaning he has to put up with short-tempered superiors and less-than-helpful stormtroopers as he carries out such menial tasks as fetching blue milk for the team.

Adam Driver no doubt a talented actor, but as he’s proven with his previous hosting stints on “Saturday Night Live,” he’s also a pretty funny dude. The combination of that talented actor thing — as he’s currently nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for “Marriage Story” — and the “SNL” writers giving him weird things to do makes for an especially funny combination each time he’s hosted.
The best sign of the New Year for “SNL” is that its first monologue of 2020 is an original one. Not a singing monologue, no “audience” Q&As, no cast participation. Just Adam Driver — you know, “Adam from ‘Girls’” and “Kylo Ren from the space one” — proving that, unlike the characters he plays, he’s chill. Chill enough to finally notice the subway set for “SNL”, chill enough to explain that he’s really bad at smiling (“I look like a kidnapped...

Adam Driver hosted the first Saturday Night Live episode of 2020, kicking off his monologue by trying to seem more chill than the characters he plays. "I just saw the movie Little Women, and spoiler alert, there's not a little women — there's a lot of women," he said.
He also gave a signed Kylo Ren action figure to a male audience member and said that if he found it on eBay, he’d kill him — previewing a bit of the Kylo Ren rage that would reappear later in the show in Driver's Star Wars-themed Undercover ...
