It's a nature doc of Japan's wildlife. Nature docs have come a long way. This is a small step down from the top shelf stuff. It gets a bit scattered as it jumps around from insects to fish to birds to mammals. Some of it is interesting. The sauna monkeys are well known. The birds are not necessarily that special. I didn't know that Japan has bears. Bears! Overall, it's fine. Japan is not known for wildlife but this has some interesting specimens. The shorter running time somewhat fits.
