Eye opening on many levels
zack_gideon13 January 2019
This surfaced on my Amazon Prime account. What a great documentary I wish other streaming platforms would pick this up. There are so many children that need help and these guys are actually doing it, not just talking about it. The idea of regular citizens partnering with foreign countries to go undercover to save kids and put away sex traffickers sounds like a movie, but this is real and going on. I applaud these heroes for helping those with no means to escape and are trapped in hell. Thank You.

I finished this movie feeling enlightened and awestruck. Things I didn't know existed. Please watch, and make change.

Powerful

"there are more slaves today than ever in history."

This is one of the most important film about the biggest crisis no one talks about.

Intense, Inspiring, Makes you want to do something

The doc weaves in multiple operations, the painful and heart breaking issue of child rape, organ farming and other atrocities that we've all been too uncomfortable to actually look at. Tim Ballard introduces you to the real difficulties, oppressions and injustice that happen in the world, while also providing hope and excitement about action being taken by groups like OUR. The last 20 minutes are more exhilarating, heart wrenching and inspirational than you see in any other piece of content you'll see.

Absolutely amazing work. I am so thankful that real life angels like Tim and his team exists. We need more people like that in this world. I am so inspired to do what I can to help. Thank you, Tim Ballard!

It's about children NOT your own beliefs & politics
tgurnsey-112 August 2023
No wonder this is happening where our country is the biggest consumer. When we remove God from our daily lives, we are welcoming all kinds of evil to grow. Look around, things are getting worse and that's no coincidence.

This issue hasn't gotten enough attention because some people refuse to set aside their own personal beliefs! Quick to dismiss a horrific evil just because of your discriminating opinion about someone's political beliefs!

No wonder we can't stand united on this issue when you'd rather turn away from these kids just because you don't like someone? Really? It's shameful and shallow.

If you're unwilling to put your own feelings aside, that says plenty about the person you are.

This seemed like an ad to get money for their charity

The cause of stopping child trafficking is just, but this film was more like promotional to solicit contributions to the charity associated with the film.

Cause is real...2/3 of the cast is not.

Glenn Beck does a disservice to humanity with his own brand of vitriol and partisanship. This is worse given the cause is real and a stain on humanity. And, injecting god does not elevate the cause or the participants. It only serves to remind us that "god" has been invoked throughout history to tell the story of the victors.

Operation Underground Railroad
ligonlaw3 March 2019
My skepticism meter was pegging when the documentary featured Glenn Beck, Tony Robbins and Orren Hatch as spokespersons. Beck and Hatch are right wingers who have taken the dark side of humanitarian causes and, like so many right-wingers, they have been a fountain of lies. Not really sure what Robbins was doing in the film.

However, the problem and the cause is real, and, the people fighting for the release of children who are being enslaved around the world are doing good work. The documentary and its impact would have been stronger if the pool of on-screen talent were not so lacking in credibility in general. It is entirely possible that Glenn Beck and Orren Hatch are capable of humanitarian, selfless goodwill. So much of their reputation is so caustic and disreputable, it was a mistake to attempt to establish public credibility with controversial talking heads.

So my questions throughout were is this some kind of appeal from a church sect? Is this some sort of effort to attack liberals?

It was none of these things. It was a heart-rending story about the abduction of children, and the efforts of Operation Underground Railroad to locate them and free them.

The story runs into credibility headwinds and would have been better served by a cast of people who have humanitarian credentials.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT
helenahandbasket-9373411 February 2021
OUR is under investigation for misappropriation of funds-DO NOT send a dime of money.

First clue- anyone who claims to do the job of law enforcement, but leaves law enforcement to do such things is likely scamming for money.

The details are just starting to trickle out, but it's beginning to sound like it's a lot of big talk by people who should know better, but became hoodwinked in the name of religion.

How this is still available for viewing is surprising, but here we are.
