- Beginning of the journey in Sidi Bou Saïd: at the cafe Sidi Chebaane Jérôme meets Syrine Ben Moussa, a singer and musicologist: they walk through the blue and white town, meet some students of architecture (the father of Syrine was architecture professor in his town) and arrive at the Cefe des Nattes where they drink a tea with pine nuts.Later they visit the palace of the Baron d'Erlanger which is now a Center for Mediterranean Music (the baron was a great musicologist) and they meet a luthier who makes the ouds.After that they travel to Tunis: they walk on the Bourguiba Avnue (the European part of Tunis with the "Théâtre Municipal and the Cathedral Saint-Vincent de Paul) and arrive at the "Porte de la Mer or Porte de France": later they enter into the Medina: Jérôme buy jasmine perfumes and they taste the makroud, a typical Tunisian pastry.Finally they arrive at the Rachidia (Association de la musique traditionnelle tunisienne): Syrine plays the oud and sings a song of the Tunisian malouf music.After that Jérôme travel to Tataouine where he meets the DR. Habib Belhedi, a dentist and owner of of Kenza guesthouse.They walk through the souks (spice market, fruit market) and travel to Ksar Hedada, a movie location where George Lucas filmed Star Wars: the Phantom menace.: the ksar is traditional Amazigh silo place.Finally they arrive at the guesthouse Kenza in Chenini ( 9 caves used as rooms, energy of solar panel).they visit a cave ( a press moved by a dromedary to make olive oil) .On the morning they pay a visit to Ahmed Saadi, a collaborator of Habib who lives with his family in a cave and later they climb to the 10 centuries old fortress where they enjoy the panorama.After that Jérôme travels to Kairouan: near the great mosque of Kairouan Jérôme meets Karima: they visit the mosque and then walk through the Medina (they see the famous carpets of Kairouan and travel by car to the family farm of Karima: Yuri , the son of Karima receive them and eat some almonds: they go to the olive tree plantation ( bio farming) and meet there Noureddine El Bedoui, Karima' father who is proud of the management of the farm by his daughter: finally they eat bread soaked in olive oil.After that Jérôme travels to Bizerte and meets Naji Ben Aissa in the fish market, they taste oysters and go to the port ( a new marina): they have a boat tour and join the members of the association (ASSEB) : they dive and collect plastic waste of the sea bed.Last stop Jérôme is in Djerba where he meets Gérard, a guesthouse owner, they walk through the town looking at the urban art (in 2014 many artists painted 200 works on the walls of the town).They make a bike tour, visit the synagogue "La Ghriba" , later they see potteries and arrive at a "menzel", a typical farm of Djerba island with date palms, olive trees and vegetables: they meet there Mohamed Bayouli (Président Association Djerba insolite) who is helping the farmer to restore this farm. Besides e see zooms about ecotourism ( Issami Miladi and Lofti Hamadi), about the Tunisian women (Mounira Saidane the taxi driver and Heifa Bazdeh the DJ), about the fishermen of the Kerkennah archipelago, about Fathi Ben Harfa and his nomad friends, about the historical heritage of Tunisia ( Mounir and Hassine Fantar in Nabeul, Carthage and Dougga, the Roman amphitheater of El Jem) and about the designer Achraf and Chems (the promotion of the Tunisian tradition and culture).—zutterjp48
