Monsters Attack ... Old School style
shagee79778 May 2021
Writer/ Director James Balsamo brings us "It Wants Blood". And you know what your in store for with a James Balsamo movie. Plenty of blood, body parts and a lot of boobs. He always delivers and never takes him self seriously. But Always delivers a fun movie.

Eric Roberts is straying into Nicolas Cage territory lately with the roles he is portraying. But don't get me wrong there fun roles. In this movie he plays politician Du Sang. On a trip to Africa he sacrifices his son with no hesitation to unleash an gain control over an ancient monster that need blood to survive . His competition Bruno Bastine III (Bill Victor Arucan) also has a monster who need flesh. It craziness at its best.

In comes Phil played with delight by James Balsamo. He is hired by Bruno to try to stir up some damaging info on Senator Du Sang. Phil has issues with bouts of anger, which scream Queen legend Brinke Stevens as his therapist helps him with. She provides therapy for his anger issues. He also has a lot of sex adventures on the side. James is not lacking in providing eye candy for the audience. James has the best role and so fun you can only sit back and laugh. You know with James at the wheel something outrageous is ahead.

And sure enough, what we get is 90 minutes of old school monster movie fun. Joe Castro did a wonderful job with the creature effects. I can't remember the last time I was so amused and genuinely excited to see these creatures battle each other. The attention to detail and just the love this team had of old school horror was a delight. No CGI good ole fashion splatter fun.

James is know for being a laid back fun loving guy. Who lets that spill out in his movies. I jump at every chance to see James movies and always love them. From his outrageous posters to his equally zany fun movies I love the guy and find him unique and talented. On my bucket list is to have the honor to be in one of his movies down the line.

This movie has one of the best cast list in a long time and it's a whose who in the B scene. Thomas Churchill has a fun opening cameo which really was a fun appearance. Also always appealing and very talented Sheri Davis is along for the ride. There also appearances by Ola Ray, Amy Dumas, Mikaela Moody, Steve Railsback, Felissa Rose, Troy Fromin, Christopher Ott, Al Burke, Auzi Capri, Courtney Johnston, Ash Khan, Tuesday Knight, Hunter Wayne, Meosha Bean, Caleb Emerson, Kara Flowers, Brinke Stevens, Timothy Beal, Eileen Dietz, Elissa Dowling, Amechi Okocha, Pamela Rivers, Rob Fury, Mark Hoadley, Frank Mullen, Rob Mulligan, Serria Tawan, Greg Python Gilbert, Kevin Manning, Eben McGarr, Eddie Pollard, Erin Tatro, Shawn Doucette, Ken May, Mia Tatro, G.
