Good film.

"Perdida" is an interesting mistery-thriller-drama film, the script is thrilling and full of mistery, the acting is fine, the art direction and cinematohraphy are beautiful and the director work is great. There is something illogical moments and a few silly dialogues, but the movie is good. I can't write more about "Perdida" story because that would be spoilers.

Great surprise in mexican cinema, ruined by terrible moral of the characters

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't like this movie at the beginning because of the hurried way the story begins. The characters know each other, go from a meeting, to a talk, to a date, to bed and to start a relationship. I also consider that the sexual scenes are excessive because they contribute nothing to the plot. However, after that failed first part, the film tells the second part of the story with extraordinary rhythm, manufacturing and staging. That second third of the film works as a great example of tension and suspense; in fact there is a very large parallel with Parasites, in the sense that the most suspenseful moments of the film take place in a huge house with a hidden bunker whose existence is unknown to the owners. I was pleased to see this level of quality and effort of Mexican cinema in creating a good production. For bad fortune, the resolution of the film was not satisfactory because it involves decisions of amoral characters. It is a film in which the characters act for the heart and not with ethics, and that bothered me. I don't empathize with characters like that, so the destiny of each one ends regardless. In addition, the character of Luis Fernando Peña has a kind of aversion for that of Jose María de Tavira and is never explained why. In conclusion, I recommend this movie not for the quality of the story it tells but for supporting Mexican cinema that has a more risky proposal than the silly comedies we regularly watch.

Great movie, the scenes and the story is great. Sadly this movie already exist since 2011, it's called la Cara oculta. Literally, it's the same movie but with some Mexican actors.

Masks and resurrections

It has cost Mexican cinema to connect with the public. In the first decade of the century there was a tendency to the realistic cinema of social denunciation that was rejected for showing themes that were seen daily in the red note in newspapers and TV. Many argued that it was tremendous cinema. In the second decade there was a 180 ° turn when betting mostly on romantic comedies ramplonas.

That is to say, the fair means that Mexican moviegoers are looking for has not been found. That is why meeting this film has been a pleasant surprise. An erotic thriller of great manufacturing that in turn is a remake of a 2011 Colombian film: 'The Hidden Face'.

A love triangle with ambivalent characters and passionate scenes of fine eroticism in a beautiful house nestled in the middle of the Lions Desert. As in the acclaimed Korean film 'Parasites', the interior of the luxurious residence and the secrets therein play a fundamental role in the intrigues that oscillate between terror, isolation, jealousy and betrayal at different levels.

A thriller that reminded me of good films of the genre like the classic noventero 'Basic Instinct' by Paul Verhoeven for the successive twists that keep the viewer in suspense. A Gesell Chamber that has an effective, forceful and specific dramatic weight in the skein of vehement feelings and internal struggles of each of the characters involved in an effervescent triangle that can overflow at any time.

I can say that next to the film 'Perfect Unknown' are the best Mexican films I've seen in quite some time. I hope the diversification continues. Let them get rid of tasteless comedies and there is an opening to terror, science fiction and thriller.

Regarding narco cartel film's from Nations other than the USA.

Warning: Spoilers
This series is the best I've seen. The Narcos years are all top notch, but to me this series surpasses them. The multiple twists and the way that they were unfolded was excellent. Hollywood thinks that they own creativity. This a work that helps prove that they don't. Bravo!!!!!

Trust your public.

Warning: Spoilers
It's a movie to see and not to think much about it. "Perdida" could be enjoyable if they've trusted their public in the first place.

With all the takes made through the mirror, it's obvious that something it's happening with it. We don't have to think about it.

The script is so basic and it contributes to make you feel, as spectator, that the director doesn't trust you. When the girl enters the room and sees herself in the mirror, she doesn't say "Oh, look at me" but "I love this mirror" (or something like that). No one says that. And things like that are all over the story. Even the catharsis to reveal the "mistery" is a joke. Doesn't make any sense.
