When Samantha goes outside to talk to her new fiance' about a long engagement, she walks across the rear deck the family had decorated--but now NO lights or decorations are visible.
The family goes to the Christmas-tree farm to get a real tree, but in the end the tree that they decorate with the star is an artificial tree.
The story ostensibly takes place in Pennsylvania and all of the vehicles have front license plates. Pennsylvania doesn't have front license plates.
The movie takes place in Pennsylvania just before Christmas, and yet, the only time you see winter is in the stock footage as it was obviously shot in the summer. There are everywhere green deciduous trees and bushes which they tried to hide with artificial snow sprayed on them but they didn't spray it in the wide shots, only mostly in the close shots. Digital snow only snows in the evening and night. Furtermore, in the outdoor scenes can be heard loud singing birds singing and they don't sing in December.
When Simon's mother calls she says 'I just seen the email'. Just SEEN!!!! How could the writers make such a terrible grammatical error? Or anyone else in production. 'I saw' is what is correct. Unbelievable.
