Excursion was written, produced and submitted to festivals within 8 months.
As Martin Grof's debut feature, it was designed to be as inexpensive as possible to make. Avoiding exteriors, because the London weather is very hard to predict, 2 Location, so the crew did not move and lose time and only 5 actors.
Excursion was shot in 2 weeks and the budget was GBP 50,000. The whole film is shot entirely on 2 locations, with a single camera and 5 actors.
There are no digital effects in the film used even though it is considered to be a Sci-Fi film. Grof likes to avoid digital effects if possible, but he likes to use them if necessary.
