I have been a huge fan of this comic animated web-series since it has first began. RObotzi is a very enjoyable series that depicts the everyday lives and the adventures of the two main characters of the show: MO, basically the comic relief of the series, a dimwitted ignorant alcoholic rusty robot on one wheel and FOCA, an acronym for "Fabricat Original Cu Aluminiu" (Originally made with Alluminium), his intellectual best friend, a blue large robot on four wheels. The series is well known for its unique humour, creativity, the subtle satire about society and the world we live in, and the well written episodes with unexpected endings.
The humour of this iconic web-series is very diverse, varying from toilet humor and adult jokes, to dark humor, satire, puns and pop culture references. There are indeed a lot of pop culture references throughout the series. For example, various trends like Gangham Style, Despacito, Game of Thrones, and Nyan Cat were referenced in certain episodes, Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble made a cameo appearence in Season 1 and Superman and Batman were parodied in a superhero themed short. There are also various minor characters, that despite the fact they appeared only once or twice in the entire series, they are just iconic and memorable. Some memorable secondary characters from this cartoon include Pingu, a tiny penguin-like Robot who is FOCA's assistant, Shto, a small alcoholic robot with low-intelligence created by MO, Santa Claus, The Cucumber (a mutant anthropomorphic giant vegetable who is obbsessed with sex), The Grim Reaper, and of course Pufoshenia ("The Fluffy Thing"), a cute, furry cat-like alien creature who is extremely vulnerable to sneezes, but can transform into a monster if it's exposed to rain or water.
The most impressive is the fact that this series was created with basically no budget, only with Photoshop, After Effects, and some other software, while it still looks amazing. That proves us that anything can be achieved with hard work, talent, and a lot of determination. The only bad thing about this series is the fact that it doesnt also have an English version or at least English subtitles, in order to be seen and understood by a larger audience or by people outside of Romania. If by any chance you know Romanian or at least you are learning this language and you enjoy a perfect mix of comedy and science-fiction, you must watch this YouTube series.
