I'm very much beginning to wonder about Liz's 'sister', Jennifer. She seems too eager, too annoyingly pushy, and I'm wondering if she doesn't have a whole other agenda of her own. Why was Ian Garvey so intent on protecting her from Reddington? Is it possible that she was an accomplice in some way? Red obviously cared very much about her mother, why would he try to harm her daughter? If she isn't involved, Jennifer doesn't seem to have considered that it was Garvey who convinced her that she didn't have a life if Reddington was around. How has she blithely and totally discounted the fact that Garvey was every bit as much of a criminal as Red; that he brutally murdered Liz's husband and tried to kill her? Even more reprehensible because he used his badge as a cover for his criminal activities, whereas Reddington never claimed to be anything but what he is. At the moment, Jennifer seems to be the alpha of the two women, putting pressure on a somewhat conflicted Liz. It will be interesting to see how that relationship plays out in all its consequences. Your thoughts?

Liz versus Reddington
LordofArt13 January 2019
As the seconds progress, the character of Liz transforms into an "unlikeable" idiot. It is the one closest to you always holding the knife. I'd say I hate Liz but "hate" is a strong word. Liz becomes annoying by the nanosecond. The quest for revenge has eaten her soul up that there is nothing left to salvage. She can't be saved. I doubt she can. Reddington is still my man. To hell with Liz and the truth she's trying to unearth. I get she blames Red for the death of her husband, Tom. In my opinion, Tom should have kept his nosw outta Red's business. He was warned. This show better deal with this fast. It's becoming sickening.
Integrity...at a Premium

There are two plots. One is a guy who became obsessed with a disease cure and began to look for a cure. He tests his substances on groups of people in the latter stages of a fatal disease. In this one, they all convulse and die. Reddington gives this case to Elizabeth to present to the task force (after she became the Judas in the song). But he has an assistant and that is a problem. The second plot is Raymond, in jail, facing a judge, who is actually willing to listen to his story. Red defends himself because he couldn't even bring in a lawyer of his own. But he is good (all that training on Boston Legal, I guess), but still has a hurdle to jump over.
Great Episode

This is a great episode. The courtroom scenes with James Spader are really good. I'm surprised he got so much screen time. But it's great he did. A big focus of the episode was Reddingtons courtroom battle. And it was great.
Outstanding

Wow is all I can say about this episode and season. It really is showing how The Blacklist can go to the next level and evolve. It's not just the same old stuff, it's new and it's really good. Red is behind bars, and Liz is the one who made it happen. I'm not sure if Red knows Liz did it, but I can't wait to find out! I love this storyline because we will get to see new sides of everyone, and imagine how crazy the final showdown between them will be?! I can't wait!!
Wasn't that guy who played Red's public defender great?

Great episode, particularly the courtroom scene with Red's public defender Jerome Lonnergan. Boy, the actor who played him was really good - terrific acting, funny. And handsome? Hoo boy, talk about handsome! They should bring that guy back, make him a recurring character - or a series regular! Or a spin-off! At the very least they should re-run this episode a lit on primetime network television....
No wonder James Spader keeps playing lawyers!

Great courtroom speech.
Also amazed that there aren't more 1 star reviews. Perhaps they didn't pick up on the very thinly-veiled slights on the then-President if the USA and HIS cabal.... Not forgetting that it has a pop at Big Pharma too. Not that I don't agree they've done some appalling things historically.... Also, I haven't watched ahead yet, but I'm guessing Red needs Dr Stark for some horrid illness he's about to manifest....

As I write this in 2023, all I can say as a reaction to this episode is WOW.
All those scriptwriters were all looking into their crystal balls just 6 months before all the lies, cover-ups, cancelation of the truth (or at least the right to be able to question these so-called 'experts'), and all of this was meted out under the guise of 'health advice' (that one MUST comply with) for the next 3 years.
Health advice that broke all the previous protocol and training gained through best practice over decades, but as we now know, big pharma, big tech, and many, many corrupt individuals all knew better!

I've been a HUGE Blacklist fan right from the start but It was so much better when he was trying to take down the Kabal. We really can't sit through of this whole Liz against Reddington in the shadows thing again.Either get her on his side or openly against him. Good lord end that thing already it's been three seasons worth. Your beating a dead horse already
Was there a Writer's Strke For Season 6?

Like others the only thing that keeps my husband & I watching is James Spader's acting.prowess. He is "The Blacklist". Maybe the writers came down w/Covid & lost their minds during season 6? I don't know. They're definitely sub par. This show's become so hokey. I have not been moved by Megan Boone's acting since season 1, episode 1. Her bipolar back n forth regarding Reddington is tiresome & annoying. How does she know Jennifer's her sister at all? Personally I look at Reddington as present day Superman minus the cape. Yes he's a criminal & carries on nefarious relationships w/ne'er-do-wells. He does however, take out the trash. Nobody wants to take out the trash but we all live better after it's done. Reddington's a hero IMO. Unfortunately he's at the mercy of some lazy, sloppy writers.
