Inexplicably not listed in IMDb at all (until I added it recently) this 20-year-old video from Vivid spotlights Heather Hunter exceptionally well. Her acting is fine, she looks great, does her sex thing well and even gets to sing for the fans.
Story is a riff on the usual "A Star Is Born" format: HH's boy friend Mark Davis is a hit recording artist on the skids (and hitting the bottle) while she's a back up singer stuck doing TV jingles. Roles reverse by film's end, and talented filmmaker Toni English aka Kelly Holland delivers a solid little entertainment.
The clowns at Vivid list the leading man on screen as Michael J. Cox, but dissimilar Nick East actually plays the role of the manager who goes from client Davis to new talent Hunter. The one and only Dee has a brief supporting part as a fellow back up singer with Heather, and they make a simpatico lesbian pair, curly hair dos matching up nicely, in a threesome with Davis.
Show ends with Heather performing a would-be hit as a music video, and points the way to the Adult actress going mainstream, which she did.
