Absolute trash based in fiction.

Warning: Spoilers
There are normally two sides to every story, but it is clear from the outset that this sad excuse for a documnetary is completely biased towards the person responsible for the death of Sarah Jones. The reason for this is never established. Save yourself the brain damage and time wasted and just avoid watching this.

Unwatchable.

Warning: Spoilers
Ordinarily I don't like to rate films I haven't seen all the way through as it's not fair to the director/producers or whoever, but this was just unwatchable. Between the fast cuts and too much going on on screen it's almost impossible to take in what is being said, even with the subtitles activated, but throw in the dreadfully horrible sound effects and 'dramatic music' and you find yourself hating every second of what you're watching but missing - all nineteen minutes that we managed.

I've sat through some terrible films and documentaries over the years and I always try to be fair, so for me to give up so early in what looked to be a very interesting story, is unusual. For me to feel compelled to rate it without seeing it through, I'm sure, is a first. That's how awful the first twenty minutes of this film were.

Perhaps if we could get a version without all the background noise it might be worth another shot, but as it is, it's not for me.

I watched it so you don't have to.

Warning: Spoilers
The director of this film, david rollins has said that he optioned his book to Randall Miller and was friends of his which is a conflict of interest. This is a bias portrait of what happened. It's so disgusting that it's hard to watch. It includes clips of depositions but they are cherry picked. I can say this because I watched the depositions in their entirety. It includes interviews with Randall Miller and other crew of the film. They have the behind the scenes video and images of Scene 14. As well as the video of the part of the scene itself that was filmed that day. Before the train hit the crew. The fact that they have interviews with Randall and the footage he owned is another clue that this film was made with a bias toward Randall Miller and with his help. The interview with Randal miller is not a deposition, it's not under oath. If you look up midnight rider on conveniently this is the movie you find. Which makes it seem like the only evidence this film existed was from the view point of Randall Miller's friends. Very manipulative. He acts like he was just a director he had no knowledge of anything but the main actor. But he was also an Executive producer. He was the one that found the money for this project. You think he didn't communicate with Hillary Schwarts about if they could or couldn't be at a location? He would have first hand knowledge the tracks are live as he was there when the trains passed. He is the main person who could say we can't do this it seems dangerous. It's clear Charley Baxter didn't get permission. It's clear Hillary Schwarts knew she didn't have permission. Hillary didn't have a legit safety meeting. There was no Medic. No safety bulletin was on the call sheet per the UPM Jay Sedrish. They made a big deal in this film that the train operator didn't stop. The train couldn't have stopped in time. Poor Randall Miller. That is what this should be called. Poor Randall Miller who did nothing wrong. But he plead guilty. And he is guilty. Does that mean there aren't other guilty members of the crew or from Rayonier. No. They are also guilty. That doesn't absolve Randall Miller.

There is much bias.

Warning: Spoilers
It is interesting to note that the director of this documentary is also the writer of Miller's latest movie. I won't watch it to support either.
