• Miyo : [sitting on the inn rooftop, stroking a carp streamer stuck in a tree]  You know, you're quite scatterbrained, incoherent, and not very bright.

  Okko : [getting increasingly infuriated with Uribo's words, whirls around and glares at him]  You're so mean!

• Matsuki : [during dance practice, after Okko has collided into Matsuki]  Oriko, would you do me a favor and quit?

  Okko : Yeah, I know.

  Matsuki : No, you don't!

  Torii : [dance instructor, standing up for Okko]  She isn't going to drop out. Both of you girls were chosen because you're going to inherit your inns.

  Matsuki : We don't even know how long her inn is going to last!

  Torii : Matsuki, stop!

  Okko : [angry]  What is that supposed to mean?

  Matsuki : Isn't it obvious? All your guests are currently fawning over the staff. How long can an inn last on that?

  Okko : [getting angrier]  Are you saying that WE'RE like that?

  Matsuki : In addition, you've only got one hostess, which means that your grandmother's forced to serve guests as well.

  Okko : She is the innkeeper!

  Matsuki : Yeah, she is. An extremely old one. It must be so embarrassing for all of your guests forced to ask an old woman for help carrying heavy things and the like.

  Okko : That's why *I'm* there!

  Matsuki : A child is no different.

  Okko : [growls angrily] 

  Matsuki : Can you imagine the disgrace to Hananoyu if one of our inns shut down? An utter disgrace, so kindly drop out!

  Torii : [shocked gasp] 

  Okko : [infuriated growling under Matsuki's line, literally puts her foot down]  NO! Harunoya Inn has ALWAYS had its own way of doing things!

  Matsuki : And I'm telling you that way is wrong!

  Torii : [trying to subdue the argument]  H-Hey, come on...

  Okko : How 'bout you, Matsuki? You act like you're SO important, but you have your staff do everything for you while you just watch!

  Matsuki : What would the junior dim-keeper know?

  Torii : [still trying to intervene]  Uh, let's keep practicing...

  Okko : Why do you wear frilly pink clothes to work at an inn anyway? It makes no sense!

  Torii : [really shocked at Okko's rage]  Hey!

  Matsuki : [offended shout]  YOU CALL ME FRILLY PINK AGAIN, YOU DIM-KEEPER?

  Okko : I SURE DID, FRILLY PI-I-INK!

  Matsuki : JUNIOR DIM-KEEPER!

  Uribo : [startled, looks down and notices Okko]  Do... do you really see me?

  Okko : Why are you... floating?

  Uribo : [to himself]  Oh boy, this is gonna be good!

  [lowers himself to the floor and approaches Okko] 

  Uribo : I'm a ghost. And I've been living here a really long time.

  Okko : A ghost?

  Uribo : Mm-hm.

  Okko : And you live here?

  Uribo : I'm Uribo.

  [extends his hand] 

  Uribo : Pleased to meet you. Put 'er there.

  Okko : Ugh! With booger hands? Gross!

  Uribo : How could ANYONE be grossed out be ghost boogers?
