The CNN Originals hub debuted on Discovery+ on Friday, as the new home for the news channel’s streaming library following the abrupt closure of CNN+.
The hub was announced earlier this month, and features over 800 episodes of content from CNN Original Series, CNN Films, and Hln Original Series. Additional content will be added after their linear run on the CNN cable networks.
Some of the original content that appeared on CNN+ has popped up elsewhere. The documentary The Last Movie Stars, about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, debuted this summer on HBO Max. Chris Wallace’s talk show, one of the marquee offerings, will return in September on CNN on Sunday nights and on HBO Max.
Among the original library titles offered on the new hub are 1968: The Year That Changed America, American Dynasties: The Kennedys, American Style, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (Seasons 1-12), The Bush Years: Family, Duty, Power,...

Starting today, Discovery+ subscribers will have access to many of CNN’s most popular evergreen television series, including popular food shows “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” and “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy” and documentaries like “The History of Comedy” and “Diana.” The series can be found under a new CNN Originals hub on Discovery+, the latest addition to the popular documentary-heavy streaming service.

Kew Media Distribution has sold over 100 hours of programming to buyers in Latin America it announced at the ongoing Natpe programming market in Miami.
Pay-tv platform operator DirecTV has bought a package from Kew that includes feature documentaries “Active Measures,” about Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, and “Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes,” about the titular former Fox News chief. It has also bought “Becoming Bond,” about 007 actor George Lazenby. On the series front, DirecTV has taken “The Radical Story of Patty Hearst,” which follows the transformation of Hearst from heiress to terrorist.
AMC Networks’ Sundance TV channel in Lat-Am has added several Kew titles to its lineup including “Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don’t Know Me,” about the eponymous R&B star and which was for Showtime in the U.S. and Sky in the U.K., and “Nothing Like a Dame,”(1×82’), with screen icons Eileen Atkins,...
