I enjoyed this journey in Hungary: beautiful landscapes and nice enounters.
Some words about the magic of the Danube: the photographer Mark Mervai uses to take pictures of the sunrise on Pest (from the hill of Buda): also the Danube is like a mirror early in the morning.
Then we see the Chain Bridge (Széchenyi lánchid or Lánchid in Hungarian) and mmet Janos, the bridge keeper (a family tradition because his grandfather and his father were also bridge keeper of this bridge).
A little more in north we meet the members of the rowing club "Danubius) who are training on the river: Zita Vimi tells that there are in center of the town but they are very far from the noises of the town.
Budapest is famous for its thermal baths: there are about 100 springs in the underground: the Gellert thermal bath , build in the Art Nouveau is an elegant bath where the clients find quietness, health and relax. But on Saturday some thermal baths are transformed into discotheques (the sparty) in which people dance, drink and sing inn the swimmingpools.
Hungary is a small country, but there are many Hungarian inventors (Ernö Rubik with its Rubik's cube). The Design School of Bucarest encourage the student to innovate and create new furniture for example: besides Denes Sator is the inventor of the egg-map.
The folk dances are a tradition of this country: Orsolya goes to a dance-bar and enjoys dancing folk dances. In the cultural center Istvan Berecz is teaching folk dances: at home he has a collection of hats, booots and vests. Istvan and his partner Kata Kadar celebrate the National Day (15th of March) in Budapest dancing folk dances.
In Virágvölgu there is a train station: there young boys and girls are the employees of the touristic train of the Hills of Buda (only the locomotive driver is an adult).
In the region of Tokay we meet the oenologist Andras Bacso in the vineyard in the moment of pruning, a very important duty: he explains that the grapes are affected by the noble rot and so the grapes are tiny but with a strong aroma. Then we visit the wine caves of the Oremus Estate (large tunnels with aging bottles).
I enjoyed the encounters oof Jérôme with Peter (Budapest), with Sophia (th market and the mushroom goulash with paprika), with Gyula, the hatmaker in Balmazújvaros and with the cattle breeder Janos near this town, with Angela, Jean, Mathieu and Isabela (the French lyceum, the archery on horseback), with Judit, the Trabant tours organizer, with Michi, Mali and their children in Lovasberény (the cottage, planting a walnut tree, the village and the picnic at the river).
