Characters doing dumb things
scottsideasare15 August 2020
If you hate shows with characters doing really dumb things, then skip this one. Persons in an apocalypse, given advice by their father and others, completely ignores it and do stupid things that make you want to throw things at the screen. If you can get past that , then the premise and promise are there to entertain you.

An interesting premise

Warning: Spoilers
I decided to watch this as it looked really interesting and appealed to me. I was not wrong. I was really impressed by the show and the premise of it. Even though the actors were speaking in a foreign language, I "listened" to it with English speaking and English subtitles and that did not take away anything for me from the show.

I do have a few spoiler questions. This is where I really miss the IMDB Board where the fans can interact and hope that they one day bring that back. But I digress.

Question 1: Does anyone know how the rain became so toxic? And if so, is that the virus that the sibling's father was working on? Question 2: How did Rasmus become immune? Was he given the virus initially? Question 3: I thought that they could not leave once they were given the "supplements". If so, how is it that the leader had left and was able to interact with them outside the wall? And I know that Simone had not taken the supplement so she was free to leave. But how were they all able to leave in the truck? I thought that once you left the enclosed area the capsules would trigger the virus and you would die.

I'm not sure how I would be able to get a response as I do not know if I am allowed to put my email here. I will keep checking back here for a response. Thank you.

Decent premise ruined by a terrible pilot

I can only agree with the other nagative reviews. We are introduced to the world's two dumbest kids. The storytelling is poor, with uncovincing decisions and random actions of the main characters. I was expecting much more from an otherwise decent premise.

Warning: Spoilers
Are these the dumbest kids ever? Or atleast the girl. I mean she knows the rain is toxic, yet she just runs up to the door with his brother and opens it... like wtf xdd

edit: 15 mins in. Their mom just died and they have never been happier, cause they just found a fookn walky talky lol

edit: 22 minutes in. Shes talkin with this boy on the walky talky which CLEARLY runs on battery. The power supply of the bunker is broken and the walky talky doesnt work any more? What?

edit: 35 minutes in. Dafuq how long were they in there? haha He looks like 6 years older lol edit: oh ok 5 years HAHAH. They waited for 5 years and did nothing. She litally wanted to go out a day after they got in and then there is a 2 minute montage and they are in there 5 years? Omg this is funny haha

edit: uhm it didnt rain for 5 years straight, right? Ha!

ok done: awesome episode 10/10

okayokay one last edit: as far as I know, you dont need to go outside to get air. Otherwise youd have to open windows and jump out if you wantes fresh air, right? lol Maybe not such a good idea to go outside if the ground could be toxic.

It can't be serious.

This episode may not want to be taken seriously, I only managed to watch 6 minutes. Since the initial scene, at school, everything was extremely forced, but the culmination was the accident on the road and right there in the forest was located the bunker that the father knew. Impossible to move forward, there is no way to take it seriously. 1/10.

O Rly??? Five Years??
wandernn1-81-68327411 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
We start with some high school kids getting ready to do a presentation. DAD shows up and grabs girl and takes her away. He says 'It's going to rain soon and we can't be here when it does.'

Family is driving away, and over the radio they say people are having 'acute allergic reactions.' Whoops!!! A big car pile up!! People are running and scared!!

Dad and family abandon their car and run into the woods. Dad leads them to an underground bunker. Dad tells daughter she must protect her little brother at all costs. That he is the key to it all. Dad tells family he is off to save the world from the virus that is in the Rain.

The family is scared from some banging on the door. Stupid daughter goes and opens door. Dying man grabs little brother. Mom has to run and tackle dying man to save other kids.

That was all in the opening sequence before credits?/ Wow.

The 2 remaining kids try to figure out how their bunker operates. They find a radio and reach someone.

There are flashbacks to her dad treating her little brother. Rasmus. Rasmus has some medical condition that dad comes up with a solution.

Simone and Rasmus stay in this bunker dancing and singing apparently for several years. As Rasmus suddenly ages....quite a bit. Thankfully the bunker has everything they need to survive for this long.

Rasmus accuses Simone of lying about Dad coming back. In his accusations he mentions that it has been 5 years. they are running out of food.....

Simone finally balls up and puts on a Hazmat suit and ventures outside. Of course it happens to be nighttime. She wanders across a deserted city scape of what used to be civilization.

She finds some rotted out corpses at what was supposed to be some sort of aid station. Along with a very angry hungry wild dog. Simone makes it back to the bunker and tells Rasmus they have to leave the bunker.

In my opinion, it was stupid to stay there THAT long.

Ruh Roh, the night before they planned on leaving the bunker, suddenly a bunker alarm goes off. Their Air vents are blocked from the outside!!!! Rasmus is forced to carry a passed out Simone to the airlock to the outside. They go outside! Guess what?? There ar people with guns outside waiting!!!

They blocked the vents!!

Okay that was the episode end. Really this was kinda mediocre. Nothing really great about it, nothing really bad about it. 5/10

Silly
sxprivateer29 May 2024
Scottside is correct. I mean, I can't quite understand why the 2 kids are crying after they killed their mom?!? She told those 2 stupid brats not to go open the top. In typical idiotic kids of this day and age, they go open it anyways. Then the mom has to run up and save them, thus getting exposed to the rain and her downfall...the girl actually says on the radio with "phillip", our mom's dead. What she should have said is, Phillip we killed our mom because we're beyond stupid and don't listen to a word our parents say! Lol show seems beyond silly thus far. Hope it improves in next couple episodes...
