- TriviaAs Sheldon begins to run from the bus after school, he passes a large home on the left. This house, along with many others, is part of the famous Morning Glory Circle on the Warners-Columbia Back Lot. The middle-class home fronts here have served Hollywood films and television for over 70 years. As the camera pulls back, he's heading directly towards the old "Bewitched" house. This lot is also the location where Meemaw's house front is located.
- GoofsWhen Mary is treating Sheldon's scraped knee and she offers sympathy, Sheldon repeats the quote, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger", which he attributes to 'Frederick' Nietzsche. Young Sheldon would have known that the German philosopher's first name is 'Friedrich'.
- Quotes
Sheldon: I've decided to learn self-defense.
Tam: Why?
Sheldon: I'm quite small, and will be for several years. Maybe even more, if I'm a late bloomer.
Tam: Your Dad's big. Maybe you'll take after him.
Sheldon: We both like my Mom. I think that's where the similarities end. Y'know, one of the books mentioned a Vietnamese martial art.
Tam: Vovinam. I'm a blue belt.
Sheldon: Wow!
Tam: Don't be impressed. It's what you get when your Mom buys a uniform.
Sheldon: Do you remember any of it?
Tam: I don't even know where the belt is.

Jiu-Jitsu, Bubble Wrap, and Yoo-Hoo is a interesting approach that began with a slightly muddled storyline with some messed up character interactions. The episode went out of line from its plot a great no. of times, only to be lost in time. The only redeeming quality to be produced is undoubtedly, again is Ms. Cooper. Although her scenes were far less than in the proceedings, it was to be increased . Yet again, if the series need to get right, they should really get their best out there.
