I admire Julie Walters as an actress and have enjoyed her various roles over the years immensely but was very surprised and annoyed with her bitchy quip against Michael Portillo. She asked "has Michael Portillo been on this train", to which the guard said I don't think so and she snapped back "I can smell Lynx"! Lynx being a cheap, overpowering, dreadful smelling deodorant, I assume Walters thinks little of the endlessly fascinating, quirky, charming gentleman responsible for the hit series Great British Rail Journeys.
I suppose it shows that Walters is a nasty old hag who shouldn't be given a platform for her bitter quips.
It's a shame she slid into the gutter for a laugh or is this who she is.
Not necessary!
