The psychologist introduces himself as Captain Martin, but he has Lieutenant Colonel Rank (O-5) insignia. The tags state that he is U.S. Army. Even if they made the mistake of thinking the rank was U.S. Navy - that would be incorrect as well, because a silver oak leaf (O-5) in the Navy is a Commander, not a Captain.
In the psych interview with Jaz the officer identifies himself as a Captain, however his rank indicated is a Silver Oakleaf. That makes him a Lieutenant Colonel. Not a Major as someone previously noted.
Character Zander Martin introduces himself as a "Captain" when in fact his is wearing the subdued version of a silver oak leaf insignia as appropriate on the Army Combat Uniform (ACU). Thus, he is a Lieutenant Colonel (pay grade O-5). The subdued insignia for a Major is an oak leaf as well, but is golden colored. If he were a Captain he would be wearing two parallel bars which would be black in the subdued form.
The female hijacker is shown making radio calls on the Public Address system of the 727. She'd have to be in the cockpit to talk on a radio.
The officer sent to do a psych evaluation on Jaz introduces himself as a Captain, but he is wearing a major insignia on his uniform.
