The film is based on the short Story "One for the Road" by Stephen King. This film is connected to the mythos of King's 1975 novel "Salem's Lot".
Into the Night (2019) was previewed at the James Bridges Theater UCLA, U-SU Theatre Cal State LA, Ray Stark Family Theatre USC. During these theatrical previews, the film was still in Post Production. The film was completed and had its Premiere on October 17th, 2019 at the Dryden Theatre in Rochester, New York.
On October 24th, 2019 - Into the Night (2019) had a theatrical presentation at Warner Bros. Studios. Due to high demand by the studio staff, the film had an encore screening (on the same date) in order to give all the studio staff an opportunity to experience the film as it was meant to be seen.
After the Theatrical presentations at the Dryden Theatre and Warner Bros. Studios; Into the Night (2019) entered the Film Festival circuit. From there, the Producers looked to expand the film's theatrical screenings, and began working on a theatrical deal with AMC theaters. The film is projected to have a theatrical run in the fall of 2020.
On December 1st, 2020 Into the Night (2019) was submitted to the 93rd Academy Awards, under the Best Live Action Short Film Category.
