Penhale accidentally did a fine job in this one...miracles CAN happen

Constable Penhale is, by far, the stupidest member of the community on "Doc Martin". But, like a broken clock, he's right occasionally! And here he accidentally saves the day in more ways than one....both saving a life and capturing a criminal! Will wonders ever cease?!

In addition to this plot, there is a plot involving stolen sheep which may be infected with a virus, Louisa riding to school with a friend who should NOT be driving and Morwenna takes off a few days for a hellish vacation...leaving the Doc with a worse than usual receptionist who simply does not work out at all.

Overall, this episode was greatly appreciated, especially since I hate Penhale's character and I wish they'd write him off the show. Here he isn't an idiot and manages to not completely annoy...making this a better show than usual! Well worth seeing.

By the way, in one scene a car stops very abruptly and the airbag deploys. Is this possible? I thought there needed to be some impact for the bag to deploy. Any ideas?

Crazy, Entertaining Romp

I will surely miss this show. I'm almost to the end. In this one, chaos prevails as a young woman, who has taken over her father's farm, is suddenkly assailed by a sheep rustler. She has reported her losses to Penhale who has done nothing. He suddenly realizes how incompetent he has become. Meanwhile, Louisa carpools to her class with an overworked uptight friend. Al and Morwenna go on a weekend to the farm of the sheep lady to stay in a yurt. It leads to near disaster. Meanwhile, in his inimitable way, Burt gets involved with contaminated meat. Martin hurst himself and proves to be a bit of a baby. And Mrs. Tishell takes over the office, adding her disruptive force to an already messed up place. However, this proves to be a shining moment for Penhale. Not saying much, is it? I am glad to hear that there will be on more season of Doc Martin, but that's it.

I've watched almost all of the shows, this one is the funniest to date. Mrs. Tishell is a hoot.
