Every character did their best. Editors did a good job. Screenplay couldn't be better considering the scale and production limitations of the project. Dubbing could be better. Dialogues could be better. Direction followed the script and did their job well. The story well portrayed. Overal Kudos to whole team if you are reading this review!!! Well done!!

As good as the best on the netflix!

65 episodes! Too many? I also resisted. I'm glad that I watched it. It's indeed one of the best Indian shows. Here is I think why.
So, a character attains the cult status is when you ride the emotional journey along with the character as the story progresses. This need a lot of effort in writing and direction. And, the one thing that ensures this is building the characters successfully by emotionally engaging the viewer. When you have 21 soldiers against 10000, why wouldn't you take time in building these characters so that the bravery of the soldiers leave a lasting impact on the viewer. And, I think the team did an incredible job. Not just in writing, but the cinematography was awesome. But, none of this would do until the actors shine. Of course, they did shine!
Please note that you need to hold on because I bet that you'll neither regret the watch nor forget the watch. This one has a master style of story telling which needs patience to begin with, anxiety to cope up with in the middle, and tears of joy to drink in the end.

Great series and better than Kesari movie

This series I came across after watching movie Kesari. Without a doubt I can say this series did much better job in story telling and acting.
I must say that budget spent on movie if rather spent on this series then it would be an absolute cult.
Still the story and direction was at absolute best. Good thing with series is that you get connected with the characters and their feelings.
The end was really emotional for me and yes that is a real glory for those true 21 sikh soldiers.
Much better than the film kesari

Amazing work of all artists in the series.. esply the lead Mohit. I have actually become his big fan after watching this series on Netflix.. he is way ahead than Akshay Kumar in kesari.. would recommend this series to everyone to watch.
Must Watch Series for Every Indian!
sayli-519434 January 2019
For past few monhs I have been watching a lot of series that involve crime, voilence, politics etc. (sacred games, mirzapur, ghoul, last season of HOC) This series on Netflix was definitely a breather to all that!! Mohit Raina's acting - you killed it man.... he is truly awesome. Bollywood is coming up with atleast 2 movies on this storyline but the actors in those movies have to really work hard to beat this guy. ... supporting actors👍👍....Must Watch Series!! Good tribute to our martyrs.
Note: this series was orignally made for television, so you may find its pace a little slow, so be prepared for it. Rest everything is worth your time!
Salute to the Bravehearts of India

I saw a UK Sikh group present a documentary on Saragarhi, and i was fascinated by the idea of their brave history. When i saw this on Netflix, i had to watch it, though the scale of the production is not high, but it gives some amazing moments, It is well paced, exciting and the performance of Mohit as Ishar Singh & Mukul Dev as Gul Badshah, impressed me beyond expectations. Our children should watch and respect our soldiers. The last 2 episodes were euphoric for me, and they touched my heart. Must Watch....
Very well made

Bad Direction and Screenplay; Distorted Historical facts
shivam_blue20 June 2019
Only on acting, the show scores well. What's wrong with it - everything else; direction, screenplay, graphics, accuracy of depicting facts! I watched this show in honour of the brave 21, who defied all odds. I don't understand what was the need to alter the ending - Sepoy Gurmukh was the last man standing in reality, but in the show its shown as Ishar Singh to glorify the lead character; this is indeed an insult to the memory of the brave soldier!!
A better show would have done justice to their memory - the movie Kesari has, to an extent.
But still, the brilliant story of valour that the 21 Sikh heroes have in reality, I hope some more sensible artists come together to make a better show/movie someday..

I have been waiting for the film to come out Kesari for a while, so in the meantime, I came across this series. From the very first episode I was engrossed, I kept saying "I'll only watch one more" but I ended up watching about 8 on the trot, it is that engaging. So, I binged watched the whole series in a few days, a week say, the episodes were rivetting and you could not wait for the next episode.
Fair enough it is not big budget, and some of the acting is a bit stilted, the British actors that is, but I would highly recommend this show.
I even got a bit teary eyed towards the end, losing the characters, who you had got to know.
A very impressive show.

Best series to watch .. wake up your patriotism

I didn't want to see any TV series with so many episodes but. And that too after watching Kesari movie.
But after someone asked me to watch just 1/2 episodes, I could not stop myself to watch all episodes. There could not be shorter than these much episodes.. else it would be a short cut .. if someone want that way.. than go and watch Kesari movie.
I have found this series as the best ever in Indian Television.
Moreover, I also come to know the history behind Saragadhi.
A Riveting Tale of Courage and Sacrifice

"21 Sarfarosh Saragarhi" is an exhilarating and emotionally charged Indian television series that brilliantly captures the historical battle of Saragarhi. Set in the late 19th century, the show takes us on a captivating journey through the lives of 21 valiant soldiers who defended their post against overwhelming odds.
The series beautifully depicts the camaraderie and bond shared among the soldiers of the 36th Sikhs, led by Havildar Ishar Singh (played by Mohit Raina). The character development is commendable, enabling the audience to empathize with the Braveheart and experience the rollercoaster of emotions they go through.
Overall, This is an exceptional series that pays tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Saragarhi. It successfully blends historical accuracy with compelling storytelling, making it a must-watch for history enthusiasts and fans of gripping war dramas. Prepare to be moved, inspired, and reminded of the indomitable spirit of these extraordinary heroes.

Every Indian must watch this. It is the perfect show made till date. The cast was fantastic, every actor justified their characters, specially Mohit Raina, I had tears in my eyes in the last episode.
No nonsense show.
Period drama, done right way
mangalamitash29 January 2022
The series has captured the introvert nature of society and people from those times very aptly. The protagonist is humble beyond imagination for today's times, but it was like that then. Most movies / shows that want to tell period dramas bring in how we behave today and put it in the story of those times.
Born in the 80s, I absolutely loved it, and the protagonist, Mohit Raina. It is fictional at times probably to woo viewers, but is based on facts and true incidents. If you enjoy watching slow moving dramas and not expect something to happen every second, you will love this one. Also, extremely high on patriotism.

"21 Sarfarosh The Battle of Saragarhi, The Last Stand of the 36th Sikh Regiment"
varunpratapsingh-0638125 May 2023
This is about September 12, 1897, twenty-one brave soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment, including their commander, Havildar Ishar Singh, faced impossible odds. Over ten thousand Pathans and Afghan tribesmen advanced on their signaling post of Saragarhi, located in the North-West Frontier province of undivided British India. For the next seven hours, the Sikhs fought to the last man, protecting the Indian soil of the British Empire with unflinching courage and determination. Each was posthumously awarded the Indian Order of Merit, the highest gallantry award an Indian soldier could receive from the British crown. Never in the history, or since the battle of Saragarhi, has an entire contingent of troops received the highest gallantry honor for a single action. This is their story, based on the actual dispatches sent during the battle and the days that followed it.
