This episode features a week in which "The Daily Show" went on vacation to Chicago. The weird thing is that this wasn't like a standard episode of the show at all. It was mostly just Trevor Noah on a stage and it seemed like he was doing stand up! Yeah, it wasn't like an episode of the show at all but more like a standup show and you know what? That was actually pretty interesting to see something so different for this show. We get some nice jokes about how Chicago is full of rats. There's even a guy in a rat costume who briefly moves across the stage.
The middle segment features a correspondent being angry at the Chicago pizza as it's all deep dish. He manages to find some regular better pizza, but only at a prison. I'm aware of the controversy surrounding Chicago's pizza and New York's. Having tried both, I actually find Chicago to have better pizza so I'll have to disagree here. The final segment with the interview is kind of forgettable but this episode was so unique overall I just loved it. This show needs to travel more. ****
