900 actors submitted to be considered for the movie through Backstage and Craigslist. The director had expected 400.
The idea for the movie happened when filmmaker Jantonio Turner stopped at an abandoned gas station near the abandoned Rock-a-hoola waterpark because he had to go to the bathroom. While behind the building he wondered wouldn't it be movie like if he was killed for stopping in the middle of the desert.
Although Rock-a-hoola closed for good in 2004, everyday there are trespassers who illegally enter the park so if the storyline of the movie was actually true there would be potential victims everyday.
While it doesn't look like it in the movie, the hottest day during filming was 115 degrees in Las Vegas and the production van overheated leaving the small crew in the heat with no air conditioning while filming the needed pick up shots.
The killing spot was an abandoned Christian retreat but the trailers were so dangerous the cast was only able to shoot in the living room. The kitchen bathroom and bedrooms all had big holes in the floor. And the front and back doors did not exist.
