The film took a duration of three days to film (July 10, 12, & 13, 2017)
Scott Mena had worked with Carol Halliburton in THE GOLDEN YEAR back at Full Sail University and wanted her to play Nana. Benjamin Mainsville had worked with Scott in WITHIN REACH and the AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN and had him in mind to play Brad. Terri Schmidt and Scott had done a production of ALMOST MAINE at the Shoestring Theatre and chose her to play Meredith. Megan Boisvert attended Deltona High School's Drama Program where Scott use to help mentor with Theatre class and chose her to play Becka.
The film's first draft was a Hispanic family making the decision to send their grandmother to a nursing home. But Scott felt that in Hispanic culture, most of the time they don't put their loved ones in nursing homes, he decided to make the family Caucasian and made Meredith work two jobs to show the limited time she had to take care of her mother.
