Nostalgia
robincunningham-0130310 November 2017
The nostalgia in this episode had me weeping through most of the hour. What an incredibly written and executed episode that will hold its own as an iconic Grey's episode. The writers and director, Debbie Allen, are proving that Grey's has far from completed its run on television and has many more stories to tell.

I love love loveeeee this episode!! The nostalgia of everybody and everything; o'Malley, Christina, Izzie... Ellis clapping for Meredith, and a case similar to Derek's... even the opening credits made me want to cry, it made me realise how much I miss the early seasons:( Such a great episode, I cried half the time... beautiful

The Elephant in the Operating Room

Like the other reviewers here, I also loved the nostalgia this episode brought. But there is one issue that wasn't addressed that I couldn't stop thinking about. As much as I appreciated "Cleo" aka "Christina look-alike", I was reminded of one of the reasons why the real Christina left Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Such a big deal was made about Christina not winning the Harper Avery Award in season 10 because of the conflict of interest of the hospital being partly owned by the Avery Foundation. How did all of that just go away allowing Meredith to not only win a Harper Avery Award, but to have Jackson Avery accept on her behalf? I just wished that plot issue had been addressed somehow. But I still enjoyed the episode.

Nobody forgets O'malley

Nobody forgets O'Malley, except the writers, who wrote him off. First mistake of this show. Meredith not going to the awards was lame. Ellis clapping in the crowd was sad..

This Episode begins with Meredith, she is on the ferry to Seattle with Alex. Sam and Andrew know each other. Cleo and Gregory look just like Cristina and George. Meredith performs Cleo her surgery. Zola tells Maggie that she wants to be a neuro surgeon one day. The Harper Avery Ceremony takes place. Meredith wins the Harper Avery Award. Jackson gives a speech at the ceremony for Meredith. Sofia moved back home. Amazing Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 14, this was just so great. An old school Episode of Grey's Anatomy. Meredith won the Harper Avery Award, finally she did it. Now she can continue with her surgeon life!

It was an average episode

Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't an outstanding episode, either. It's always nice to get a callback to the old cast, and I really appreciated the reminder how important George was to Bailey, but other than that, nothing really stood out in this ep. And all of these points were nice because of nostalgia, not because of any outstanding writing or acting or directing. Also, it felt like Baby Izzy was spot on, but Baby Christina and Baby George were not actually that similar to their namesakes. The end part for Alex and Jo was sweet, where he showed that he has let go (too bad they retcon that later...)
