EVERY FOLD MATTERS looks at the intimate space of a neighborhood laundromat and the people who work there. Originally created as text for a site-specific hybrid performance for three characters, our film examines this uniquely social and public environment. Distilled from actual interviews with laundry workers, the piece combines both realistic and poetic text with documentary film as it explores immigration, identity, desire, dirt/stains, and money. Integrating heightened dialogue and movement sequences.
