"La vida nuestra", which means translated "Our Life" is a Spanish Spanish-lamnguage short film, and honestly the title does sound really empty, the English translation certainly more than the Spanish original. And the outcome is accordingly. But first things first. The director and one of the writers is Raul Arévalo, a prolific actor more than a filmmaker, so a bit surprising to see him in charge here. Anyway, the real reason why people are watching this 16-minute short is that Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage is part of the cast, plays the co-lead in fact. I would say he is okay, but not that he is great. But he looks better than he is because the actual lead is really nothing special. The other characters and actors are not really worth mentioning as their impact on the story is minimal and so is their screen time. Admittedly the script is not helping anybody. It offers one fun scene with Dinklage singing and he has 2 or 3 other okay moments, but at some point it is just too much. The final scene is more embarrassing than funny for sure. I am not surprised to see Dinklage in here. I have seen him in other non-American stuff over the years, also a German movie next to rosalie Thomass. Anyway, I am drifting a bit away now. And there is English language in here anyway, so I don't know if there is an original version that is in Spanish in its entirety? But it is not important either. By the way, this one here was sponsored by a beer company, so of course you will see the brand Estrella Damm (they paid for it, so lets mention them) on several occasions whenever somebody has a dry throat. But it is not as often that it gets annoying. Well, until the very end you could say when they offer some fun shots from the production of this short live action movie and one of them is really nothing but the beer. But I don't mind overall. The problem here is not the advertisement, but it is that this is simply not a good movie honestly. Not too much fit together and while it is also not a failure on the other end, I give it a thumbs-down overall. Only watch if you really are a huge Dinklage fangirl/-boy.
