Monkeys going full animated
"Crawling back to you...". The guys from Arctic Monkeys were missed on this one and it's a pity. But on the other hand it's hard to
imagine them acting on a concept or even just making a performance of this particular track since it's such an unusual song that something else was
needed and required.
"Do I Wanna Know" uses of animated images and sequences to present a full concept on viewers, which starts out with a long sequence where Alex Turner's voice moves statics depending on how his voice range goes (this moment goes for quite some time and one gets the impression the whole is exactly that), then it moves to present other images on a similar fashion (white lines on a black background), with random images and even the figure of a woman is introduced.
Love the single, one of Monkeys' best of all time, but I'm not so enthusiastic about its video. I like it, there's plenty of great artistry involved but when we see the boys either acting or just performing the song or appearances from actors (such as Stephen Graham in "When the Sun Goes Down") they create better and wonderful and memorable music videos. 7/10.
