- Unauthorized Living is a violent crime series. Although violent scenes aren't very frequent, from episode 6 the series becomes more violent, with some very gory scenes and bloody shooting.

Violence & Gore
- At the very beginning of the series, a man is drowned in the sea. The scene isn't important for the series, but it is still disturbing.
- In episode 6, a unemployed woman tries to cut her own arm. Blood is seen in the scene and the wound is graphically shown.
- A dog is drowned in an aquarium.
- A horse is brutally beaten to death with a shovel by a police officer. The beating is offscreen, but the horse is heard whinnying in suffering. A few seconds later, the horse is seen agonizing and covered in blood. The scene is very disturbing.
- In the first episode, a man is stabbed in the stomach and then drowned. Blood is seen coming out of the wound.
- A man is tortured with a power drill and later beaten. Although it is offscreen, you can hear the man scream and blood and pieces of flesh and bone slpattering everywhere.
