Highly education piece with film historian Stefano Della Casa who discusses all things Riccardo Freda. For some reason Freda's name isn't brought up nearly enough whenever you discuss Italian cinema as it seems most people just talk about Bava, Argento and Fulci. This nineteen-minute featurette does a great job at discussing some of Freda's work as well as the rather sad way his life ended. Della Casa does a terrific job at talking about Freda and various films are discussed including THE GHOST, CALITIKI, THE HORRIBLE DR. HITCHCOCK as well as some of his less famous non-horror films. We get some great stories about the times Della Casa spent with the director as well as his sad final few years. If you're interested in the cinema of Ricardo Freda then this here is certainly a highly entertaining piece.
