It's a good movie, the bride of kind of annoying, Can she not handle any of the wedding stuff herself, especially when she fired the wedding planner

I like Maggie Lawson and I enjoyed this movie. The main characters' personalities reminded me of those in 27 Dresses. The groome's secret causing the bride to freak out was a bit annoying. Overall, it's a nice addition to the June Weddings collection.

Loved seeing Maggie again. Is the bride 5 years old and can't do anything for herself? UGH And I'd dump my boyfriend if he kept hanging up on me or didn't have time to talk to me. Hope to see more of Maggie and Paul in the future.

A promising doctor who is the most delightful person on the planet (always doing favors for others, overly thoughtful) suddenly turns into a mean-spirited person the second she arrives in Chicago. A man whom she's never met is kind enough to pick her up from the airport and she is instantly mean to him. She treats him like a plow horse. The change in spirit makes no sense and ruins her character - practically making the rest of the movie unwatchable.

First of all: Weddings do make people crazy and that's a fact. June weddings are not my favorite part of the year. (Hallmark regular viewer here)

I started this movie with high hopes and I'm actually a little disappointed. The movie in general is not bad, it's okay. But as someone who has watched a lot of these types of movies and pays attention to details I think it wasn't good enough. Something was missing.

Tess was quite cheerful, and at first I was annoyed with her personality until I learn it was all part of the learning process. But after realizing that, I liked her.

Paul Greene isn't my favorite Hallmark guy but then I saw him in a podcast related to When Calls the Heart and discover that I was judging him wrongly. So I was looking forward to see him in another movie with "different eyes". His character, Michael was quite charming but I felt he needed to be funnier, or more outgoing, probably.

The acting of both leads was good. However, there were details throughout the movie that were not believable and some of the acting wasn't convincing. The chemistry wasn't there, they barely looked in the eyes. I don't think I have smiled ONCE and believe me i'm a sucker for romance and very cheerful person. There was one twist in the end that I wasn't expecting but other than that it is predictable, especially the idiot boyfriend who appreciates his work more than the relationship he is in.

If you love weddings watch it, but if June Weddings are not your thing, then don't.

Hardworking workaholic doctor Tess' best friend since childhood, Amber, is getting married in Chicago. When her boyfriend, the self-absorbed Dex, bails on attending the four day wedding in order to go yachting to potentially further his career, Tess as the Maid of Honor gets paired with best man Michael. Michael is a jaded divorce lawyer who not only grumbles about the wedding assignments they are given, but seems to have something against weddings in general. However, these two make an amazing pair both on and off the dance floor...Tess and Michael.

"The men only have to worry about the three "s"s: Shower, Shave and Show up."

Random observation...am I the only one who thinks Maggie Lawson reminds them of Alicia Silverstone?

Maggie Lawson and Paul Greene have great on screen chemistry and really make this romance work. The film is set at a gorgeous golf course curated by the famous Jack Nichols in Chicago.

Highly recommend to romantics, I think you will enjoy this hallmark romance as much as I did.

Once again Paul Greene lights up the screen with his charm and being so darn handsome! Cannot get a bad angle on him! Not one!! Would watch every movie Paul is in. Cute movie, fun and witty !! Worth the watch

Watching Maggie Lawson's character, Tess, in this very surface level rom-com is like fingers down a chalk board. I don't know if it's how the character is written or how Maggie Lawson is playing her but she is awful. I suspect it's the latter unfortunately. Awful. Annoying, self-centred and how anyone could fall for her is beyond me.

I enjoyed this one and was going to review it long ago, after I first saw it, but it was not yet available on IMDb. (What takes them so long to get Hallmark movies up on the site?) This movie follows the usual pattern: Competent and no nonsense woman saddled with a guy who takes her for granted attends a wedding and meets the laid back best man. Sparks fly after the usual friction between the two, and then the original boyfriend appears out of nowhere. Add to this a bridezilla surprise surprise. What sets this one apart is Maggie Lawson. She adds brightness and nice comic timing. I enjoyed seeing her again after Psych. Paul Green is one of my more favorite male Hallmark regulars, and the two play off each other very well. I am hoping Hallmark will have Maggie back soon.

Am not the biggest of fans of Hallmark's June Weddings films. Some have good casts and amusing moments, but more often than not they're too more of the same plot wise, over the top and also with too many annoying or/and bland characters. Expectations were a little higher than usual for 'My Favourite Wedding', having liked Maggie Lawson and Paul Greene in other things (with more familiarity with Greene) despite the plot not exciting me.

'My Favourite Wedding' turned out to be not an easy film to rate or review, but actually turned out to be pretty much what was sort of expected. It is watchable and there are definitely worse June Weddings films before and particularly since. To me, 'My Favourite Wedding' wasn't particularly good at the same time and that it was so unbalanced by the unlikeability of one major character really took away from me enjoying it any more than hoped.

There are good things. Both Lawson and Greene are more than game in their roles, Greene comes off better in the more subtle and relaxed performance and because his character is much easier to connect with. Lawson does have enough moments of charm and playfulness and if her character writing was better she would have made a bigger impression. The supporting cast also try their best.

It looks good, lovely scenery and slickly shot. The music is pleasant and fits tonally enough, the placement also not getting too much.

Really disliked Lawson's character however, far too disrespectful and self centered and Lawson overplays those traits on occasions, especially later on when the material becomes more contrived. Would have liked more chemistry between the leads, there are glimpses of it and there is some charm to it but it never fully connects and it never feels particularly well fleshed out. The same goes with the characters in general, with the only interesting (the only one to rise above cipher level) or likeable one being Greene's (and even he starts to frustrate a bit in the final act when he becomes on the naive side).

While some of the dialogue is light hearted, it is at other times rather flat and stilted and also felt forced in the conflict in the final act. Nobody expects a Hallmark film to be innovative, and most follow the same formula or similar. This was like seeing the same June Weddings film for like the tenth time at least and with little variation, making the story feel rather tired and too easily telegraphed. None of the situations are executed with much spark, and instead come over as bland and annoying. It is easy to predict what the ending is, but part of me really didn't want it to happen and that it would do something different but it went down the too easily resolved route.

Summing up, watchable but could have been more with a fresher story and a much easier to like female lead character. 5/10.

Boring and predictable from the first minute. First world problems... life is too short to spend it watching this.

Chemistry is really good between Maggie Lawson and Paul Greene. Watch this movie, you won't regret it. really cute wedding movie, please give us a sequel Hallmark.

Acting is so poor, my granda could do it better them all of them, storyline also poor, dialogues terible, no emotons, very predictable. I am not sure how it is even possible to make this movie in 2017??

This movie hit an early bump and had some issues (Bridezilla was a bit much) but it's actually one of my "favorite" Hallmark movies. In the beginning, Tess, nicely played by Maggie Lawson, is way too much of a doormat for her boyfriend Dex, especially for someone so accomplished in her own right. But she has no problem later taking a few unjustified shots at the Best Man Michael (Paul Greene), even though they just met. Luckily, their sparring later ends up being quite fun to watch, but it's completely inconsistent with how uncritical she was with Dex.

That said, Paul Greene and Maggie Lawson are very appealing and have great chemistry. I liked the juxtaposition of Michael as a cynical divorce lawyer compared to the romantic Tess. She asks Michael what he has against weddings and he tells her: "I don't understand why people would want to spend a small fortune on something that fails 55% of the time." He has a point. Then he asks why she ignores his suggestions and she gleefully tells him: "when it comes to weddings you have everything backwards. I ask for your opinion so I can do the opposite."

Maggie Lawson really nails the role of the sparkling, beautiful, dynamic Tess and I could see how and why Michael starts falling for her. And Paul Greene has a very natural style of acting that suits the role of Michael. For example, he has these great facial reactions to some of the things that Tess says that demonstrate why he's one of the best Hallmark actors around (although I hated how he was misused in the truly awful Christmas CEO).

I also liked lines like "he's like a foggy X-Ray, I can't figure him out" which is how Dr. Tess describes Michael to Bridezilla. But I didn't like the silly subplot about why the groom wasn't around. As Tess points out, communication is essential and when the cost of a surprise outweighs the benefit of a surprise, it's time to rethink that surprise (hey Jack, learn that stuff BEFORE the wedding weekend). Also, Bridezilla was a thankless role for the otherwise lovely Christine Chatelain. Could she have been more useless?

But the complaints by some other reviewers that Tess (rather than Bridezilla) was "disrespectful" "self-centered" "rude" and "annoying" seemed really misplaced. Dr Tess was, as I noted earlier, a bit rude when she first met Michael, but I really thought her later exchanges with Michael rose to the level of fun playful banter. And she literally spent most of the movie selflessly helping others, especially the bride. And is there a job more helpful to others than a doctor?

But in the end, whether you like or don't like a Hallmark movie often comes down to how much you like, or don't like, the two leads and whether they showed any chemistry together. That's obviously very subjective. For me, I really liked Maggie Lawson and Paul Greene and their witty back and forth made it easier for me to overlook the movie's flaws.

And, as always, I grade Hallmark on a curve.

Not a favourite wedding movie for me. I liked the lead actors but they had very poor dialogue and plot to work with. Worth avoiding this film.

Loved the Hallmark movie "My Favorite Wedding" and anything with Paul Green in it! It seems that all the great looking actors are Canadian, where are these movies filmed? I watch Hallmark and Hallmark Mysteries at least 4 hours a day. Cameron Mathison is my next favorite especially when paired with Allison Sweeney. Not into the Chronicle mystery because Cameron Mathison is not in it. He and Allison Sweeney are great together! Love and rewatch- Cookie Jar mysteries whenever I can.

Liked the chemistry in this movie. Didn't like boutonnières on right side of groomsmen's chests. Also didn't care for the tie knot . Weird.

"My Favorite Wedding" is entertaining because the story is exciting as far as mundane wedding fiascos go. I have difficulty looking past the lead female, she gets under my skin at times. When she is being sarcastic and bossy she is actually in her element, but when her other self surfaces it's like a matinee monster fest. There were several cringeworthy scenes where she totally drops the ball, and although intended to convey this very message, somehow she was too effective at it. I feel it needed to be a bit lighter and less serious. The lead male is the foundation of this film's success. He has a lot of screen presence, and is the most likable character by a long shot. The rest of the cast were also personable. The lead female's uninterested boyfriend was easily as distasteful as she was at her lowest moments. It was a natural feeling to dislike him from his first appearance to his inevitable exit. Hallmark's routine of having the boyfriend fly in last minute was disagreeable at best. Come to think of it, there were several moments in this film that should have been left on the editing room floor. In addition, there are some miscasts done, but I'll keep some of the specifics to myself other than maybe switch the bride with the lead female, and the groom with the loser boyfriend. There is a flow and excitement that holds my interest, mainly due to the lead male. All my alternate preferences aside, "My Favorite Wedding" is still a fun ride.

So here's my professional opinion- Been in the wedding industry for years & never have i experienced,any such over-the-top scenios Hallmark presents.

1. The couple,their wedding party & guests arrive many days before a wedding.. Must have major funding to have the venue,keep things opened for your day as you plan it daily.

Realistically you're fortunate if you can do a rehearsal where the wedding is being held the night before.

2. The maid of honor is dealing with mega planning issues,that should of been solved weeks to months prior.

But in typical Hallmark fantasy it can be solved,to give the most epic day ever from a cake & more.

Yes things can happen where adjustments might be needed,however they make things come across like the wedding is just started to be planned.

3. The maid of honor & best man end up togerher,even if they have a problematic past.

4. The bride sure is overwhelmed but she acts like a space cadet,over knowing things that involve her day.. Again,why isn't she keeping in touch earlier with those in charge,than days before walking down the aisle.

Feel actors chosen & acting was fine,although Tess & the bride was a bit annoying. Anyway,ok movie & decent cinematography.

Worth seeing once but as with anything Hallmark does,don't expect a masterpiece & basically a cookie cutter type production.
