A very enjoyable video

A favorite Coldplay moment for me, "The Hardest Part" not only has them at the top of their game with another fantastic song of melancholic, reflective lyrics and powerful sound, but it's also a treat to see the dance act performed by 84 year-old Barbara Moseley and 25 year-old Gene Spencer, on a sunny Miami afternoon where host Linda Dano is amazingly impressed by the whole difficult choreographies executed by the duo. Somehow Coldplay song fits with everything shown here.

And all of these years I've been (gladly) deceived by this Coldplay video, as I always thought the dancers and the band were in fact filmed in 2006. A small research and the truth came out (the duo appeared on a 1990 program), though I always sensed something was a little off, something that didn't fit exactly (those 1980's-early 1990's titles at the opening; or a 25 year-old guy with a massive grey hair). But if you look carefully you'll notice the tricks and proofs that both acts were put together through the amazing art of computers and editing. Zero complaints about anything as it is one of the most entertaining videos by the band and fun to watch it time and again. 9/10.
