This video of the early Weird Al Yankovic parody song, "My Bologna", is worth seeing for its historical value

After The Knack's "My Sharona" had its No. 1 success from radio play and record sales, a student attending California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, named Weird Al Yankovic was interested in recording a parody he eventually called "My Bologna". So he got his accordion, used the bathroom facilities across from the radio station he worked at, and recorded it there. Before long, he sent that recording to Dr. Demento's radio show which aired coast to coast and when the doctor played it, it was his most requested song. So when The Knack heard it, they arranged their label, Capitol Records, to also release Weird Al's version. And it sold 10,000 copies but Weird Al found out the label was not interested in promoting it and he only had a six-month contract so that seemed to be that. And then he released another song called "Another One Rides the Bus" (on another label), a parody of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust", which did even better (In fact, that was when I first heard Weird Al on the radio when I was twelve) and the rest is history...Anyway, this video version was taped by Randy Kerdoon- a fellow classmate of Yankovic at Cal Poly and the KCPR station they worked at. So it shows all the amateur visual stylings one would expect from such a shoe-string production but it's historically important because of the beginnings of such a unique comedically musical artist. So I recommend this early visual video of Weird Al Yankovic performing "My Bologna".
