Two people just being nice to each other

The whole time I was so worried that something stupid would happen but it was really good to see that they were honest and really cared for each other... Definitely my favourite episode so far..

Mixed Bag of (mostly) honest insights

Warning: Spoilers
Alright, I begin this because I am coming off of the tails of the original documentary 'Hot Girls Wanted' (I highly recommend).

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

~~~~
The context behind this episode revolves around cam girl* Alice Frost (*more on this later) and her webcam devotee "Approximate" aka Tom, who lives in Australia. Alice has an upbeat, cheery personality towards her clients and watchers of her cam girl solo sex shows. Tom has been devoted to her cam show for 4 years by this point in the story, and has invited her to come visit him to meet in person. In the situation of many cam girls, Alice has a more soft side (emotionally) in terms of who she visits with online--she regards herself as a "therapist" of sorts for her visitors--and feels (quote) that he's "entitled" to some visiting time. While I believe she has a friendly meaning behind it, it does bring to question the discomfort for cam girls that can come with regular clients, that they somehow "own" these web cammers because of the dollar amounts they have paid for private came shows, some being above $8.00 a minute. Tom is shown as a stereotypical nerd gamer, growing up awkward and overweight, even visiting with his tabletop RPG group who seem somewhat unsure about his decision to fly Alice to Australia. His friends feel that his obsessions are bordering on romantic fantasies that are unrealistic. Tom is not a stalker- creeper-rapist type at all, just a bit inexperienced with women and living through a fantasy of a webcam girl, of which he has poured his relationships and emotional needs into.
Alice, in the real world, is married to photographer Chad*, living in Los Angeles and happy in their domestic bliss. (*more on him later too). While Chad is aware of her job choices, he seems uncomfortable with her potentially being romantically involved with another person....but again,more on that later.
Without revealing too many spoilers, Alice meets her biggest fan Tom in Australia and.....well....you'll just have to watch it, but when the glass window is broken, it brings a new level of humanity for two nice people that have lived in the smoke-and-mirrors of internet relationships, perhaps with expectations not quite what they seemed, and a bit of heartbreak when owning up to reality. You will not be disappointed. ~~ **NOW, ON WITH THIS, AND THIS FALLS MORE ON LACK OF HOMEWORK FROM THE PRODUCERS OR PERHAPS THEY CHOSE TO OMIT IT.
They try to present this as Alice being somewhat of a cheeky but slightly self-absorbed camgirl who thrives on attention while her poor cuckolded husband sits at home, bemoaning his fears of losing her. This could not be further than the truth. Alice Frost and Chad Diamond are in fact, active porn stars and porn photographers. Chad has been featured in several gay porn films while Alice has experience in BDSM and gang bang series. This does not make them bad people, mind you--they MET on a porn set and fell in love. Chad and Alice are featured in a documentary called "Love in Porn", covering the subject of what it is like to be romantically involved while working in the adult business. Chad points out that their sexual career performances are "robot sex", versus when they are alone together and it is "passion, loving sex". I completely get this. To my knowledge, they are both still active in the business as of this review (Sept 2017) on their Twitter pages and personal websites. I feel that the producers of 'Turned On' could have gotten some actual camgirls who have ONLY done cam and cam alone, versus being a relatively known adult actor.
A showcase of human emotions.
awezoom26 April 2017
This chapter made us feel really emotional. You can see genuine human needs, emotions and feelings about each other. A nice guy who really needs love and someone to share his life with thinks wrongly that can be found in paid sex relations. And she, the webcam actress, realizes her clients are more than just a way to pay bills. They are people who care and who need to be loved too.
We really loved this episode, and makes the whole series to be worth watching. Made me feel happy to having been able to find that person in my life, to share my path with.
