Upbeat and classic throwback culture music video.

The Material Girl had a big hit with this 1986 tune "True Blue" a love Song and the music video is really smooth and upbeat as "Madonna" has three dancers singing along with her and shown is the Material Girl driving a classic car and all of the ladies are sitting at a throwback cafe diner as the video is a spin on youth culture of the fifties time period. Overall good well done work.

Pointless bubblegum pop

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have the 4-minute music video for the song "True Blue" by Madonna and this one is from 1986, so it had its 30th anniversary last year and Madonna was in her late 20s still when she made it. I believe that she did some really great stuff in the 1980s, but this one here does not really fit that description. It is probably the 1980s equivalent to the great deal of bubblegum pop music from our times with a touch of feel-good spirit, a bit of love and romance, but no real depth. Everything is blue in here, with an ounce of purple, the backgrounds, the dresses etc., but nothing is blue in the sense of sad as it is a really light little song and the video goes well with the lyrics as we see Madonna hanging around with her friends and just having a bit of a fun time. Bit of a pity the viewers/listeners do not have an equally fun time while checking this one out. Oh well, not everyone can be a winner, not even for Madonna, but I find it a bit surprising that even the album was named after this relatively pointless song. Go skip this one. I give it a thumbs-down.
