Doesn't really get me into the groove

Warning: Spoilers
These 4 minutes we have here are the music video for the Madonna song "Into the Groove" from 1985, so this one is already over 30 years old and this means Madonna was still in her 20s here and this is from the very early years of her career. The video (more than the song) is closely linked to the film "Desperately Seeking Susan", which fittingly was directed by a Susan too and stars Madonna during her more prolific acting days. Overall, I would say the chorus is kinda catchy, but that's all there is to it. Pointless bubble gum pop from the 1980s without depth or meaning and yes it existed back then to. Great to party too perhaps and to dance, but there is really no reason to check out this music video and not just go for the song unless you are a huge fan of the DSS film. I myself am not and I haven't seen it (yet?), but admittedly these scenes here that also include actors from the film don't make me really curious about it. Madonna has better many times in her career, so this one gets a thumbs-down from me. Not recommended.
