These 4.5 minutes we have here are the music video for the Madonna song "Cherish". This came out back in 1989, so it will have its 30th anniversary soon. It was directed by the late Herb Ritts, who worked with many other artists from the music industry, but also with Madonna on other occasions. Madonna sure has several songs and music videos in her body of work that were more on the serious and heavy sight, but this one here not really. It is still somewhat meaningful in my opinion. And it is fairly catchy, which is why I enjoyed the listen. I am not entirely sure if going for black-and-white here was the right choice as maybe a video in color may have worked better in the film's overall tone and spirit. I think this was a good watch too nonetheless. Madonna looks pretty hot and is clearly enjoying herself in the water here. It may not be one of the artist's most meaningful works, but it's still a success I would say. She's done better and worse in the 80s I believe. Overall, I recommend checking out "Cherish".
