- McGarrett and Five-0 are captured and face certain death after tracking a dangerous nemesis to the Island of Lanai. Also, Grover takes his son to Chicago where he testifies against a dirty cop from his past.
- Steve, Danny, Chin and Kono track nemesis Michelle Shioma to the island of Lanai. However, fearing that she might have allies on the inside of HPD, the team decide to go it alone and when they get there they find out that it's a set up and they are soon captured by Michelle and her yakuza soldiers. Jerry is the only one who knows about the mission and is ordered not to tell anyone on the force including Duke and now must face the dilemma of telling Duke at the risk of the mole finding out or keeping quiet. In the meantime, Lou goes to Chicago to testify against his former friend in his corruption trial. - Only Jerry knew that Steve's team went op top-secret, mole-proof mission to private island Lanai, tipped off Chin and Kono's Yakuza nemesis Michelle Shioma has been conducting drug trade from there and alerts HPD confident sergeant Duke Lukela when contact is broken off. Indeed Steve's quartet was caged up by Michelle's apparent killer-successor Matsu, requiring several painful escape attempts from Steve using SEAL skills. Meanwhile Grover drags teen son Will along for 'quality boys time' on his trip to testify in a Chicago court against his former police partner, but find about everyone hostile and rudely tells the assigned CPD guard assigned to him to stand at Will's hotel room instead. Jerry is surprised by the tangible fruit of his formal disobedience.—KGF Vissers
