Thank YOU, DT.

Finally a true and accurate representation of Los Angeles and all its colors and cultures! And what a debut! Wow. This short had more heart than most feature length movies out there. It's simple: Monday has the SOUL of L.A. It was authentic and not some Hollywood product. Dinh is a talented filmmaker and writer. This one reminded me of yet another Asian filmmaker that I knew would blow up when I first saw his short film, "Victoria Para Chino" -- Cary Fukunaga. The talent is there and honestly, we need more Asian storytellers. Period. But I do have one complaint amongst all these accolades,... I wanted MORE Monday! Ha! It needs to be a feature. Plain and simple. Or a series. Wink, wink.

This one needs to be seen by EVERYONE. It's a wonderful narrative about family, friends, mischief, and trouble around the corner. But most importantly, it's an L.A. story and the city itself is as important as any character in the film.

Love the cinematography and the flow of the story. Not a surprise it won so many awards. Need to make this multicultural film into a full feature or series. Great pilot for what's to come. Congrats!

admirable

A fascinating mozaic of people, relations, connections, having as axis a young hustler and his intense fight for noble cause. The rhytm, the acting, the storytelling as basic virtues. Short, an admirable, scene by scene, film.
