Nice Look at the Making of Jeepers
Jeepers Creepers: Then And Now (2016)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Writer-director Victor Salva, cinematographer Don Faunt LeRoy, editor Ed Marx, actor Tom Tarantini and producer Barry Opper are interviewed for this thirty-six minute documentary that takes a look at the making of JEEPERS CREEPERS. Obviously it's Salva who gets the majority of the running time as he talks about writing the screenplay, originally selling the picture to Sony, how Francis Ford Coppola got involved and then he goes through all the pre-production, production and the release of the picture. If you're a fan of JEEPERS CREEPERS then you should enjoy this as everyone involved tell some great stories about the production including the director talking about his influences, which go back to Steven Spielberg and Alfred Hitchcock. There's some nice discussions about certainly things that weren't filmed as well as an alternate ending.
