A Polish animation about a woman trying to masturbate is probably my chosen viewing experience, but going with this one is quite enjoyable. The plot is what I describe, and the woman struggles to get in the right place before ultimately getting it right. It shows this in a creative way, with the second half of the film showing the title character in external form, getting lots of different sensations, speeds etc. As such it is quite graphic in its indirect content but yet remains accessible - a bit uncomfortable at times, as a man, but still seems very real and honest in what it shows.
The feeling of not being able to get there, of the things tried to get there, and the importance of different sensations, speeds etc - and that it may take more than a minute; all of this is well delivered and serves to break a taboo of discussing this topic. As such, I'm not wholly sure it is aimed at me, but I imagine those with direct "first-hand" experience will enjoy the film more. The stark animation style helps tone down the graphic feel of the film by its simplicity, but at the same time keeps the content there. There is not much to the film plotwise, but the honest and truthful depiction of the evening and how it plays out makes the film work.
