I was initially much interested in this little film where Charley/Jimmy Jump is a car salesman who takes an unruly family of prospective buyers for a picnic in the woods because I thought it might have been made specially for Pathex but it in fact it is just the central episode from the film Just a Minute.
Pathex (sometimes Pathescope) was simply the US/British name for the Pathé home-projector system Pathé-Baby that was launched in 1922. Most Pathex films were such abbreviated versions of existing films distributed by Pathé (cut down so that they would fit conveniently onto the 9.5mm reels) but it looks rather as though this is just a short publicity film made directly for the Pathex.
