Taiwan-Japan documentary After the Snowmelt and Filipino fantasy feature Mother Maybe were presented with the Taicca X Cnc Awards at the close of the pitching forum at Taiwan Creative Content Fest (Tccf). Both awards came with a cash prize of $30,000.
Organized by Taiwan Creative Content Agency (Taicca), Tccf’s Pitching event handed out awards worth nearly $200,000. Taicca chairperson Homme Tsai said this was possible as the agency had “actively collaborated with South Korea, France, Japan and the three major telecommunications companies in Taiwan. Our goal is to provide creators with more funding while seeking additional international collaboration opportunities.”
Initially, the event had planned to only hand out one Taicca X Cnc Award, in partnership with French national film agency Cnc, but announced at the end of the ceremony that, due to the high quality of submissions, it would hand out two awards.
