Siskel & Ebert (1991)
Season 6, Episode 10
Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, BLACK ROBE, MY GIRL and MEETING VENUS are the four films that are reviewed on this week's episode and there's no question that it was the Disney film that the critics loved and the one that still holds up quite well today. The two critics give BEAUTY AND THE BEAST a wonderful review and they also praise the underrated MY GIRL. The other two films have pretty much been forgotten over time but that's the case with a lot of movies. This episode also has a special report on who Siskel and Ebert think should play Scarlett and Rhett in the television movie SCARLETT. Both of them make some rather interesting choices, although we now know that neither of them came close. Overall this here was certainly a very entertaining episode and it shows that the two critics could gain just as much entertainment when they agreed on something just like when they argued.
