Cathedral of the sea ended in a great way, in a way was being built since episode 1. Everything is linked from the start to the end, we didn't see MAR being the queen of Barcelona (vikings) suddenly.
Mother of the sea protected arnau since day 1 and Mar said it "our mary loves him and protect him" episode 4. In episode 8 we see arnau released and virgin mary looks ar him. That's the art direction we want to see.
That moment between mother and son is magnificent. I cried for 40 seconds while this scene goes in slow-motion. Nothing can be compared to the love of a mothrr nothing.
