sheer madness
framptonhollis30 August 2017
I don't know how many people I've shown this chaotic classic to or how many times I have referenced it, but I do know one thing: this is a masterpiece of comedic internet surrealism (I can't really come up with a better term for it, but it's everywhere). "Garfielf" it's just...it's just so bizarre; filled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors that are so unbelievably ridiculous I can't help but laugh, all combined with a shrieking musical score and absurd dialogue made a reality by awkwardly emotional text to speech bots. This strange, arguably catastrophic clusterf*ck of insanity leads to a video so weird and uniquely comical that there is no way I can property put its charm to words-it must be seen to be "understood", if that's even remotely the right word to use...JUST WATCH IT!

I can't get enough of this
camiacono18 February 2017
Crude, surreal, out there, full of nonsense I know the joke is poorly draw Garfield but I just can't get enough of it! I even made a play-list called "The absolute very best of Garfielf" It's just nonsense but I love it. Garfielf is just the most in-redeemable asshole in the world yet he always comes out on time, Odie only says Borf, everything is badly drawn but it's done in such a humorous way and the Fist of the Borf star parody series is actually really good! MAY THE GARFELF MEME LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!! I actually made my own Garfielf video called Garfielf the shaman king, check it out! Here's the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOXCl-DLU-M

Garfielf is the best.
zephreyt27 September 2018
Jon says that an unspecified subject is stuffing his or her face as usual. Later, that unspecified subject is revealed to be Garfield, who states that he needs to have a good meal. Jon proceeds to call Garfield a fat cat, who is so big and fat. He then asks a philosophical question on why he is so fat. Garfielf makes the shocking revelation that he eats, Jon, and that's what he does often. He states that the clock's hands are at a position showing that it is imperative that Odie gets kicked off the table. Jon warns him to not do it, as it is his pet dog Odie. Garfielf does not need his warning and sends the "stupid mutt" into space to revolve around the Earth. The man with a negative a million Intelligence Quotient shouts out loud the name GAAAAAAARFIIIELD! Garfielf says the clock states it is time for a nap as he is a cat who loves to snooze. GARFIELD, YOU LAZY CAT! shouts the big moron. Garfielf expresses his hatred for alram clocks, and his secret identity as "hungry". He also wants some lasaga. Jon warns that he is eating them out of house and home, Garmfield. Garfielf replies The Chit Chat is enough and some grub should be going. Jon asks Garfielf on the whereabouts of the three cheese pizzas? Garfielf truthfully answers that he ate those food. Jon asks where the taco shells are. Garfielf then confesses to chewing them up and storing them in the stomach. Frustrated, Jon asks where all the Hamburger Helper escaped. Garfielf emits an unholy rumbling sound out of his mouth. Jon proceeds to say that he is such a bad kitty, that's it, he has had it with him, that does it, he is done, , there is only one straw left Grarfileld.

One for the Ages
danitiwa24 August 2018
From the moment I stumbled upon Garfielf via recommended youtube video panel, I knew I had been exposed to an instant classic.

Without spoiling anything for the debutant watcher, there is an enigmatic hamburger helpler mystery involved, one inroduced in such an amazing whodunnit fashion that you can expect your eyes will be as good as glued to the screen.

An ethereal yet ungodly experience and treat for the senses. Parental guidance advised. (Heavy themes like lasagna addiction and domestic violence.)

Only for those with a high IQ
eggowaffles12 September 2018
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Garfielf. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Jon's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Garfielf truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Jon's existencial catchphrase "Garfield you fat cat," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as PilotRedSun's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them.

Warning: Spoilers
"Garfielf" is an animated short film from 2013, so this one has its 5th anniversary this year. This one was written and directed by PilotRedSun (pseudonym) and this was his very first work and it should not stay the only one where he is making fun or spoofing another work. Obviously, this is about Garfield and as I love the cartoons, I was pretty curious about this one here. Well, it was not horribly bad, but I am not convinced. There is some cult film approach to the voice acting and the recurring joke that Jon mispronounces Garfield's name is as solid as Garfield mutilated "I ate the food" reaction towards Jon's questions. All in all, it lacked the concrete something though to really win me over here, so Isay better skip the watch and go for one of the many old Garfield short films starring the incomparable Lorenzo Music.

frawesome11 February 2019
This is the single best film i have ever seen. i have seen it over 2000 times. i showed it to all my family and almost all of them fell into a deep coma. would i recommend this film? definitely, but much like rick and morty you must have an iq of at least 4000. i plan to share this film with my kids when there old enough to appreciate this masterpiece. i hope they will choose to pass it down to their kids as well. This is no ordinary film. this is true art and deserves the worlds appreciation.
