Early Short from 'American Hippie' Director
Be Careful Children The Ball is Not Just Yours (1969)
* 1/2 (out of 4)
This 16mm, silent short was shot by director Amos Sefer several years before he would make the cult favorite AN American HIPPIE IN ISRAEL. I'm really not sure how to explain the plot but it's basically taking place at a birthday party where some children play and the adults sit around and act silly. There's certainly nothing good about this movie and it'll probably only appeal to fans of AN American HIPPIE IN ISRAEL who find themselves going through all the extras on the disc. At just over six minutes the thing actually manages to make that boring. I'm not sure what the purpose of the film was or what the director was trying to do but there's certainly nothing entertaining here.
