Actor Michael Keaton was offered the chance to voice the character of Alfred Pennyworth, but declined because he ironically didn't want to be in the opposite role out of respect for Michael Gough (who played Alfred in Tim Burtons Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995), and Batman & Robin (1997)) who passed away in 2011.

This is the second video game of 2016 that Troy Baker (Bruce Wayne/Batman) and Richard McGonagle (Carmine "The Roman" Falcone) have worked together on. They also did the voices for Sam Drake and Victor Sullivan respectively for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (2016).
